Data Backups

Tez Books^TM has manual and automated backup systems. Let us understand this in more detail:

1. Manual: You can download your data anytime in Excel or XML formats. Excel formats are human readable formats accessed using spreadsheets such as MS Excel whereas XML formats can be used to import data in third-party software such as Tally. Data can be downloaded for a specific entity, location, voucher type or period.
2. FTP: You may subscribe to an FTP account, which currently costs INR 5,500/year. System can be configure to send daily backups of your complete data in MS SQL formats to this FTP account.
3. Automated backup: Data in Tez Books^TM is automatically backed up on daily basis. Daily back-ups are retained for 7 days and weekly backups are retained for one month.
4. Agent-based backup: Server is configured to take automated backups using Acronis Agent twice every day for additional data security.

Importance of data-backups should not be underestimated. While we take multiple backups at different locations and make every effort to keep your data secure, we strongly urge that you regularly take manual backups on regular basis. To know more about data security, please Click here
